About me
Yoga doesn’t need us in particular pants to connect body and mind. It doesn’t require perfect poses to increase strength, mobility, flexibility, resilience, and wellbeing.
I practice “come as you are” yoga, “move because it feels good” yoga, “learn something new” yoga, “maybe you’ll make a friend in class” yoga, “find some peace in your own skin” yoga. My approach is informed by Dynamic Mindfulness, biomechanics, Pilates and play.
I was introduced to yoga in 2002, beginning with Bikram yoga. While there was no shortage of sweat, it missed some soul for me. Around that time, I learned an alternative approach to yoga in a modern dance class I was attending. The embrace of personal expression in mindful movement stayed with me. Later in various yoga classes in San Francisco, I was exposed to Hatha and Vinyasa styles. It was since moving to Berlin — before, during, and after my pregnancy — that I claimed a regular movement practice that grounds me in my body, in the present moment.
I’m a certified 200+hour yoga teacher. My training is in contemporary yoga informed by Zen Buddhism and biomechanics. I completed my foundational teacher training with lead teacher Tatjana Mesar and Anna-Maija Varis in 2023. I’m currently continuing my studies with Tatjana Mesar in the Advanced Dynamic Mindfulness Teacher Training to become a 550+hour certified yoga teacher.
